Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Mainline Intelligence Co. (“Mainline,” “we,” “us”) is a Delaware company operating themainline.site. Questions about this policy: hello@themainline.site
2. What we collect
- — Email address — when you subscribe to The Wire, join a waitlist, or sign in to The Grid.
- — Submitted form content — business name, city, and industry when you request a competitor report from The Lab.
- — IP address and basic request metadata — for rate-limiting, security, and abuse prevention.
- — Payment data — only when you purchase a Mainline product. Card details never touch our servers; they are collected and stored by Stripe under their own privacy policy.
- — Session cookies — a single HTTP-only cookie when you sign in to The Grid, used only to keep you signed in.
3. How we use it
- — To deliver the product or content you requested (e.g., emailing you the newsletter; generating and storing your competitor report; granting access to The Grid).
- — To send transactional email and your purchased downloads via Resend.
- — To process payments via Stripe.
- — To prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and protect the service.
- — To improve the product — aggregated, non-identifying usage analytics.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train AI models.
4. Subprocessors
We rely on the following providers to operate the service. Each holds only the data needed to deliver their function.
- — Stripe (payments) — handles card data and subscriptions.
- — Resend (email) — delivers transactional and newsletter email.
- — Anthropic (Claude API) — processes prompts for the Lab competitor-report tool. Anthropic does not retain inputs/outputs for training under our API terms.
- — Vultr (hosting) — runs the servers that store our Postgres database and Next.js application.
5. Where data lives
Application data — subscriber emails, generated reports, purchase records, and Grid records — is stored in a Postgres database we operate on a US-based Vultr server. Backups are encrypted at rest.
6. How long we keep it
- — Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
- — Generated reports: indefinitely, unless you request deletion.
- — Purchase records: 7 years (US tax/accounting retention).
- — Session cookies: expire after 30 days of inactivity.
- — Magic-link tokens: 15 minutes from issue, then auto-purged.
7. Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can email us at hello@themainline.site to:
- — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- — Request correction or deletion of your data.
- — Opt out of marketing email (every email also has an unsubscribe link).
- — Object to processing or restrict how we use your data.
8. Children
Mainline is built for adult business owners. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email hello@themainline.site and we'll delete it.
9. Changes
We'll update this page when material changes happen, with the new effective date at the top. If you're a paying customer or active subscriber, we'll also notify you by email before any change that affects your rights.
